Hi family and friends, we found a place that had free internet so I thought it would be a good idea to say hello! I am in Swakopmund, Namibia and I am having a blast! I absolutely love NAMIBIA!

this is all for now, I am going to set this up so that I can email my blogs, so I will be able to keep everyone updated. I tried last time but it did not work.

Catching up

I know that I am way behind in updating everyone of my where-about(s), and my adventures. I am having a hard time, settling down and gathering my thoughts. Everything has been amazing; my days in port seem more like dreams instead of reality.

Everyday is a different adventure, from getting lost for hours on end; to the people you end up meeting along the way.

We longer speak “normal” English, but more of a broken mixture of all the things we gather by the end of the day. Just today, I have spoken broken English, Spanish, French, Turkish, and Arabic. If you don’t know one, move to the next – there is always a way to communicate. The people in Morocco alone know about four or more different languages.

We docked in Cadiz, Spain January 28^th, around 8:oo am our time.

The ship stopped near Gibraltar (a small island, near the cost of Spain which is owned by the British) to gather fuel, but due to waves we were stuck there for almost a whole day.

We finally made it to Casablanca, Morocco February 2^nd, a day later then planned – due to the horrific weather at sea.

Personally I am sad we are leaving Morocco today, first because I get severely sea sick and second classes start back up tomorrow, I am happy about one thing – the opportunity to do laundry and take a shower! (The ships staff does not like us to take showers, or flush the toilet frequently because it wastes our clean water, they took on while out at sea. No one wants to drink or bathe in port water – believe me!)

Time for homework, before the ship starts a rolling (literally – we have to strap things down, and put things in safe places.)
